Help/advice finding replacement clutch and Radiator

1 Attachment(s)
I have a 1967 C50 with a 327 and SM420 with the spacer plate. It is also equipped with the HD radiator option.

Does anybody have any idea on the factory part numbers for the clutch assy and the HD radiator?
I figure if I want to find the parts new, the original part numbers would be a good place to start.

Radiator is same as the school buses that they made into the the early 90s so it's easier to find. Part# 3010553, 3010554, 3013550, 3020007, 3021327

Does anyone know if the big block trucks used even larger capacity HD radiators than the small block trucks?

Regarding the radiators, my experience was this: I had a radiator from the 1989 C60 donor truck, it was taller and narrower than the 67-68 C50 trucks I had. The height made it a no-go. I also had parts from a 1984 school bus and it was dimensionally identical to 1989 C60 radiator.

My 68 had a light duty rad and I wanted the heavy duty and I was unable to find one that fit. I ended up having the tanks from the 89 rad cut down to the proper height and a custom core (4 core) built. It was incredibly expensive. I also had to fabricate the upper hold down pieces for the thicker 4 core radiator.

If you have an original HD radiator that fits your truck I'd recommend having it re-cored.

Regarding the clutch, I expect Napa would have what you need.

Thanks Richard, that sounds like a heck of a lot of trouble you went through. I also should see if NAPA might have some old parts books and be able to help find part numbers, who knows.

Not sure if you've found a clutch kit yet, but the only one I could find is a Luk 04106 13" clutch kit. It's a diaphragm type and the picture shows a long throw out bearing.

Thank you very much for that link, I had no clue they listed parts for C50's! I bought my wheel cylinders on rockauto years ago, but they weren't listed as such, I just used parts numbers. That's incredible, thank you.

You're welcome, I think they updated it because I don't remember it showing medium duty trucks earlier than the mid '70's for a long time.
