LWB vs SWB The last 12in of frame..
I have a 1971 SWB that has some rust and also where someone had welded a bumper onto the frame.
Is it possible to take the last 12in off of a LWB frame and splice it in? Are the LWB and SWB rear frame sections the same? THX:metal: |
Re: LWB vs SWB The last 12in of frame..
As far as I know, the two frames are the same out back except the long frame is 8" longer on the ends. I think what you would have to do is cut 8" straight off the back of the LWB frame, and then from there you could use 12" from the long frame and splice it into the short frame.
