Absolutely going to drive it. I am trying to figure out painting it a lighter shade of blue or steel wool it and flat clear.

I have also seen some old bodywork on these trucks that was done in brazing. I remember back in the 70's when I was learning to gas weld with the torch on body steel I would braze sometimes because it warped less and was easier to grind, it does plug up a grinding disc easily though, no flap discs available back then.

I think brazing replaced lead in some areas. Not sure one or the other in the 1950's, but I don't think body filler existed back then. I think body filler gets abused today. LOL

With the slimmer door handles, I wanted knuckle clearance.

details like that, are awesome. you'll appreciate it every time you drive it, the detail will not go un-noticed by anyone, but no one will know why it caught their eye. .05% of ppl will get it and enjoy it.

When the bed floor is up, the rear section looked very unfinished and ugly. This panel looks right. #HammerFab

What’s your plan for the master cylinder now you’ve redone the firewall? Under dash? I’m facing a similar dilemma.

Update. Hammerfab has been moving to their new shop. Column and exhaust parts ordered. Waiting for the move to be complete and progress in August.

I was doing an under the cab, but decided to do an engine bay firewall mount for ease of everything involved and space. They have a billet master with ports in the lower rear for a cleaner look.

What frame mount master cylinder and what Billet master? I have a blackout setup with a Wilwood master I知 debating on using, but after having redone the firewall I知 hesitant to cover it up.

The firewall has a design recess that incorporates the booster and master so it looks like it is supposed to be there. The brand of the master and carbon booster is https://www.mpbrakes.com/

I was doing a hydro boost on the frame, but after two other projects with hydroboost. I have decided it's just not for me.

I spent the day at HammerFab. Took some video and pics. We also discussed everything going on. Looking forward to the next step of new firewall and inner fender refinement. Got the column in the right spot and ordering the steering wheel. Exhaust is looking good/ Mufflers and resonators are from Stainless Brothers. Rear bumper is so clean, but making room for the license plate and still figuring out exhaust exit through the bumper.

I'm trying to upload the video. It's a large file. I'm trying to figure it out. LOL.

No success on my video. The file is too big. Here is a video Levi Green did and my truck is in it.
