Tire "stuff"
I havent used Armour All on tires in decades after I heard the old stuff made the tire rubber crack sooner with age
What is the good tire dressing nowdays? Just the cheapest stuff at walmart? |
Re: Tire "stuff"
I used some spray-on stuff I bought at Walmart, not expecting too much. The stuff is amazing and it even makes old tires look good. You spray it on and walk away. You don't even have to clean the tire first. It's called Black Magic Tire Foam.

I like using 303 Aerospace Protectant because it gives a natural finish.

Re: Tire "stuff"
westleys bleche wite ftw!
removes that crappy brown road grime and brake dust easily, leaving smooth clean black rubber finish.. all that shiny sticky stuff attracts dirt and dust and flings it all over the wheel wells, fenders, and mirrors.. |
Re: Tire "stuff"
I like the spray on foam type...spray on tires, wheel well mouldings ,air dam..anything black plastic or rubber

Re: Tire "stuff"
Whatever you use make sure it is water based...solvent based dressings will dry tires out over time.

Re: Tire "stuff"
I emailed and asked Mequiars about their Tire dressing that all contain Petroleum distillates
Finally after their song and dance they sent me this link after my second email reply :ito: https://meguiarsonline.com/forums/sh...yl-Protectants :sexy::jest: . |
Re: Tire "stuff"
I've used a LOT of tire dressings over the years and my absolute favorite is Poorboys Bold n Bright. (Note, not the gel version). Water based. Acts as a mild cleaner too. But I don't know many who don't wash first, so that was always a moot point.
