MI: Lowering rear end:

In the process of installing the 4" drop coil springs in the rear of my truck. I believe while the rear axle is jacked up should be the time to install the tapered aluminum wedges. I'm not sure as to which way they go? Does the tampered end go towards the rear or the front. I guess if I let it down I would know, but wanted to hear from someone who has installed them.

I dropped my LWB 72 C/10 and never bothered with the wedges. That was like 5 years ago and no issues at all. I think those wedges are only necessary on a leaf spring rear and extreme drops where pinion angle falls outside the 3% angle difference to the trans tail shaft...?
