Hedder bolt holes...

Has anyone ever had a problem with the Hedman hedder fitment? The hedder bolt holes just don't want to line up with the head holes  can I use a step drill bit in the Hedman Hedders bolt holes to make them fit? 72 3/4 ton HEDMAN PART# 69090 thanks and Happy 4th :flagw:

Before you make the holes slightly bigger, try just cutting the flanges between the tubes.

Re: Hedder bolt holes...

The header has a flange. 6 bolt holes in it. Your pipes are welded to it. The flange is the part that bolts to your head.
Common practise is to cut the flange between #1 and #3 and #5 and #7 on the drivers side. Makes the header bolt on and stay tight when you bolt it on.
Cut the flange the same on the passenger side.

Old school trick. I've done that before. Works. :)
