Tail light for 1956 Suburban
Has anyone seen or sourced or used a tail light (stop and reverse I believe) found on a 1956 Suburban with clam shell doors. It mounts in the middle of the lower clam shell half. Seems to be bigger than a 56 Step side truck tail light. Thanks. I will try to post a picture later.

I saw one ar a car show that had a brake light off a school bus mounted on the door...it said stop on the lense..unless your looking for original styling

This is on a '55, I could get a better picture. What do you need to know about it? This one does not rotate when the tailgate is lowered.

Re: Tail light for 1956 Suburban
Thank you. Mine is smashed up but might be repairable. It is round unlike the 55 pictured. The one on the 55 above is the same as on my 53 panel where it serves as a license plate light as well.
I guess I am trying to determine if there was particular style that was used on the 56 Suburban. Then decide what direction I would take. I am not so sure mine is original. It does swing up (or could if repaired) when the door is lifted. |

Thanks everybody. I was able to locate a lense and chrome bezel.
