2007 Silverado 6.6 Single Cab
Hello guys i have a question....
There is a single cab long bed close to me it has a 6.6 duramax now i may seem crazy but im not just have crazy ideas i have never seen a 2500 new body style short bed i was thinking of making my own... cut frame, and everything else needed will be done by me im a gm technician by day, also my boss says its fine to keep it in the shop as long as i dont hold up lifts for a long time so question is how hard/fabrication do you think i need to do?? i dont trust my welding so ill probably hire out in that area please give me your opinions or links if anybody has tried it thanks!!1 |
Re: 2007 Silverado 6.6 Single Cab
They made short bed 2500's until this year, I believe. My cousin has an '08 2500 ccsb. When I was looking for a new truck last year they still made them too. It's just this year they stopped, and I'd be willing to bet you could still have a dealer order you one if you wanted.

Re: 2007 Silverado 6.6 Single Cab
There is a body shop near me that does rebuilds on wrecks..The owner built his son just this truck, it is a 4wd. It started out as a Long bed, just rear clipped it. HE said it was very easy to do but then again, they do alot of custom stuff. I wish I had pics, it is one bad ass truck!
