In honor of our Independence day holiday, the theme for July’s Truck of the Month contest is.

So to see what it takes to be a nominee this month, the truck will need to meet these criteria:

• Open to all years and models of Trucks, Blazers, Suburbans, Tahoes, Yukons, and Jimmys.
• The vehicle nominated needs to belong to a board member during the time of the contest.
• The truck’s primary color can only be those of the U.S. Flag….Red, White, or Blue.
• It must be together and able to move on its own power.
• The truck has to be licensed for street use.
• If a truck was selected as a 2011 TOTM winner then you are ineligible.

:If you were nominated but were not selected as a TOTM winner then you may be nominated and compete in this month's category.
To Nominate:

You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the year of the truck, and any other specs of the truck (interior details, engine/drive train specs) that you may want to provide.

Nominees will run through June 24. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. I normally use 1 picture showing a good front-side view and 1 with a rear view of the vehicle in the voting threads. If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up by June 24 in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all that voting has begun. The Poll will run thru the morning of July 1 and the official announcement of the winner will be on the afternoon of July 1. The announcement of the TOTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area. :flag:

It may be tacky but I would really like a TOTM win and I got 2 of the required colors on 1 truck. LOL

I would like to dominate NHDON's 67 longbed stepside. It has a 327 engine with a 700R4, 3.73 gears with posi, and an Ultraleather interior.

I'm nominating my '72 Blazer. Not only is it Blue, but it's decked out here for a 4th of July parade! 350/ 4-speed with a TPI.

I'll throw my red 78 in there if I can.

1978 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe K-30 350, SM465 4 speed, 4.10 gears, 4" Tuff Country springs, Off Road Design odds and ends, 315/75R16 tires with 2.5" spacers between the duals. Spent the first 30 years of it's life as a rural volunteer fire department brush truck.

I'd like to throw mine in here if I can. It has at one point in it's life been red white and blue ;) 71 SWB 4x4, 350/350. Started it's life as a LWB, then converted to a SWB, then lowered, then raised, then torn apart completely again and set on a 71 4x4 SWB chassis :)

Hate to make this one of my first posts and to nominate myself, but I've never actually had a shot at a TOTM before. Only bought it recently, but its patriotic alright, used to be a service truck for almost 30 years.
