Nothing real special... just figured I'd post up some updated pics of the ole GMC
This was purchased by my wifes grandfather back in 87. He used it to pull his 20 foot tag along camper for 20 years. It was always taken good care of and the interior is perfect. no rips or tears. all stock.
The body was faded, so I had the school where I work paint it. 350.00 ..... not bad.
I polished all of the chrome and put it back on. the only upgrade to the exterior was the billet grill. The rest is completly stock.
I planned on pulling my 27 foot camper with it, but decided after painting the truck to retire it and give it to my wifes dad for fathers day. He always wanted a truck... and it was HIS dads anyway.

Happy Father's Day to him....

and me......
Here is the New truck and camper......

That is cool I someday would like to build a 49 chevy for my dad he started on one when I was born in 81, then the army moved us to germany my sister was born 2 years later, by the time we made it back to the states I was 5 sister was 3 so dad had other priorities and ended up selling the truck. Kinda crazy now I've got kids and completely understand the sacrifices we make for our kids.

Haha ya its pretty close. Off the top of my head im pretty sure the colors are GTS dodge viper blue and the grey is '86 chevy truck paint. I painted it in 2004 the same year i did a full frame off on it. What are your colors? Oddly enough when i first painted it i wanted to put a lime green pinstripe on it to break the blue and grey kinda like what you have with the flames.

if im correct the viper blue and the blue i used (dodge electric blue pearl) are very similiar if not the same thing, it looks differnt at night and day, i added a little extra pearl and it looks amazing in the sun, the silver i used was just a BC145 Diamont toner, mine looks the same outside, the blue looks deep under lights at night, and im glad you didnt do the green, or we'd have a prob, lol, its hard to see, but i hav a pinstripe on there also

Finally got rid of the white Cragars. Replaced with 17" Billet Specialties GTX40's, 255/60/17 front and rear. Thinking of going with a wider tire in the rear, but not sure how wide I can go on an 8" wide rim.

Beautiful truck. You can go with a 275 easy. You might be able to get a 295 on there.
