my dads rebuilding a 63 right now and hes missing some parts in the steering column. im not exactly sure what the part looks like but people seem to know what hes talking about when he asks about the shift tube. hes also talked about just making one from scratch if he can find out exactly what it looks like. thanx for any help

I may have what you need. I just bought a nice rust free 62 custom cab, but I just need the cab and some other small parts.

It has an automatic and was running before I started parting it. Give me an e-mail and we can swap numbers.

droptop-
thanx but its three in the tree. so i think its function is to convert the shift from the column to the tranny, but not the linkage, the tube. if there was a picture of the pieces broken down the way that LMC does it i could point it out

thanx for tryin!

thanx for tryin to help but my dad finally found it at a beat down shop in town and then he found the inner door panel hed been lookin for at the swap meet we just had in turlock.
but just FYI they changed the column after 63 because my dad got a hold of a 64 shift tube and i wouldnt fit. so in case anyone else is askin, yours wont fit on a 63. probly a 64 though. thanx again
