Many nice trucks, always a tough call to sell or keep, do what you want and not what others suggest.

I've decided if he brings me the cash I'll let it go.

THEN I'll be looking for a factory stock K20 4WD Orange.

I really like the Orange 67-72 truck, and it will match my Challenger RT.

My 68 K20. Picked it up last week. I plan to use this for my farm truck, so no major resto planned at this time. It's fairly clean as it sits, but definitely has some flaws.

Engine: 350 cu in V8 (1978), quadrajet carb. , HEI distributor
Trans: SM465, 4 spd floor shift
Transfer case: Rockwell T221
Frt and Rear Differential: 4.55 to 1
Power Steering: 70's gear box and drag link

Here are the 2 k20's I have right now. Both 72's and both medium bronze. Probably going to sell the unrestored one as I don't need 2. I have a 52 5 window that needs restored before the 72.

Don't know how I missed this thread. Here's a quick pic right now. It normally doesn't have the canoe rack on it. It's a factory K20 with a Dana 60/14 bolt combo from a 84 K30. I don't consider it a K30 because the frame and springs are still 3/4 ton.

Now I really want to get on my Longhorn 4x4 conversion. Gonna add a 500 Caddy too. I'd give both my (you know) for a NAPCO.

I tried to buy the ochra one a couple years ago and he wouldn't sell it. They have been sitting there a LONG time.

Guys, Actually there is a code problem here.
581 is the factory code for yellow (Dk. Yellow) applied as a Special Two-Tone (white roof/yellow body/white rockers)

For the orange to look like Pete's truck you would want one of the factory codes below.

524 is the factory code for hugger orange (SPID Red Orange/ Sales Fireball Orange) applied as a solid. The Ditzler number is 2212

553 is the 524 as a Conventional Two-Tone (white roof/orange body). Ditzler 2185 white and 2212 hugger orange.

596 is the 524 as a Special Two-Tone (white roof/orange body/white rockers). Ditzler 2185 white and 2212 hugger orange.
For a 71-72 that would be factory on a Suburban only unless special paint.

458 is the 524 as a Deluxe Two-Tone (white roof/orange body/white side/orange rocker). Ditzler 2185 white and 2212 hugger orange. Pete's Truck!

For those that live in truly cold places there is the code 565. It is the 524 as a Custom Two-Tone (black roof/orange body). Ditzler 9000 black and 2212 hugger orange.

Finally remember there were two factory oranges (67-72), the other 516 is a true orange often seen on highway equipment and it will be simply "orange" as a SPID description. But it was available in the various Two-Tone patterns as well.

is 516 not referred to as Tangiers Orange?

The sheetmetal has taken a beating from rust but may go look at it again with an eye as a potential project.

Ochre and white is on my list of possible paint combos if i do up another K20! i have run across a few adds lately for nice K20s but i keep telling myself to hold off until the green one is done... since i seem to have a glut of them anyhow.

Like this? Or white/ochre/white ochre? Here is mine with topper, and my inspiration to do the body too!
