Reconditioned gauge Clusters F/S

5 Attachment(s)
As most of you may know, I have been focusing my attention lately on beginning a business in gauge cluster restoring and reconditioning. I am performing complete reconditioning of the 69-72 Chevy gauge clusters with the basic gauge package (no tach's) for $300.00 and up depend on the configuration or needs.

The service includes:
A new aftermarket chrome with black bezel.
9 new 168 bulbs, LED's are available for an additional charge.
cleaned and tested gauges including, speedometer, fuel, battery, temp and oil. Needles are repainted so they all match.

The tins are glass beaded and painted originals or aftermarket for some tach cluster builds.
The speedometers are reset to zero or whatever is requested. I will also use your original speedometer for a build if the face is clean ( not rusty or faded).

I am also reconditioning tach clusters and 67/68 clusters. I will also paint a bezel for a GMC for an additional charge.

I am also reconditioning gauge clusters for 1960-1966 Chevy ? GMC trucks. Also other pre 1972 makes and models upon request.

I am also selling individual parts such as tach heads and tach cluster parts. Non tach parts, such as polished lens, circuit boards, tins, etc.

I am also reproducing my own tachometer wiring harnesses for 68-72 Chevy pick ups with your choice of point style or HEI terminal.

I am now doing volt gauge conversions on 1967-1972 cluster if interested. It helps me if you provide the gauge from a 76-87 Chevy truck.

I work on a first come / first serve basis. I usually have a one month back log of work.

Please PM me or email me at tbonegarris@yahoo.com for details on your specific needs.

I appreciate your support on my new adventure. Please remember that I still have a day job :)

Thank you,
Tom

Tom, can you take an up close picture of the 60-66 dash?

Thank you Mark, as a matter of fact, I now have a bench set up to test lights and gauges and your cluster is good to go. Thank you for the comments and I will see you soon.

Looks great, I'm in the process of rebuilding my own cluster, but if everything goes to hell, I know who to turn to!

is there any reason you don't paint the needles? value? risk?
just thought I would ask.
your clusters are very nice!

It is listed as part of my process above. I will not paint needles if they do not need to be painted or if a costumer request that they are not painted. Most of these do get sun faded and need a little touch up.

Here is an addition to the cluster line up I am offering.

1969 - 1972 Chevrolet "non gauge" cluster. For those who are leaving there trucks original with the "dummy lights", I am offering this cluster.

It comes with all of the attention the gauge clusters get. It comes with a new aftermarket bezel and new 168 bulbs. It has been tested for light and speedometer function as well as fuel gauge function.

$120.00 plus a usual shipping charge of about $20.00

Thank you for looking.

Nice. Ever thought a out offering a converted electronic speedo for the modern OD trans crowd? I know someone else has done it for their personal vehicle. Would think there would be a market for it and I for one would be interested in.

Thank you,

I have considered it and would not be opposed to doing a conversion. I think some of the guy's have used late model Camaro speedometers. These types of builds are usually a one of type of thing but if the right combination of parts are incorporated, they can be done to function and look great. Of course there is also the process of fabricating the tin work that adds to the challenge.

PM me if you are interested and I will work with you on one.

Thank you,
Tom

I would be interested in an electronic speedo conversion as well.

When I have some time, I will research and see what speedometer would be best suited for this conversion. It will have to have a similar face and fit into the tin work without major fabrication work.

I always love a new challenge.

Thank you,
Tom

Currently building a 69-72 non tach gauge cluster. will be ready before the holiday.

Also building a 69-72 tach cluster, using NOS lens and circuit board.

I have a non gauge 69-72 cluster ready for $120.00 shipped. (see information in separate post.

What is your dream cluster and what would you pay for it? :)

Cluster Tip of the week/month/year: Mix a pan of CLR with water about 50/50 deep enough to submerge your circuit board in. Let it soak for two hours. Rinse with warm water and dry with a towel. It works wonders cleaning the crude of of the connections :)

Nice work, indeed.
Dream cluster?
One with an anti rust emitter, of course!
Priceless!

Holiday Bump:

Cluster Tip of the week/month/year: For those do it yourselfer's, if you have installed your own LED's and they do not work, try flipping them around in the black bulb holder and / or flipping the holder in the cluster.

Some LED's only work in on direction which means the current only flows one way. This will save you frustration thinking you have spent your hard earned money on defective LED's.

I also want to say thank you to all that have inquired about my services. I appreciate it very much

Have a great holiday and be safe everyone.
Tom
