Scarlett, the 1994 Silverado Z71
 

So, I was driving along in my s10, and got tboned, so I was shopping for a new truck. scrolling through marketplace one night I found it, a 1994 silverado z71. I named her scarlett, hoped in my moms truck, and drove to go look at it. I took a buddy, incase I bought it, so I could drive it home. I got there and looked the truck over, it needed minor things, and had some rust, so I talked the guy down to 1,000 and handed him the cash and started my hour and a half journey home. The journey was really uneventful, as the thing runs great. Ive had the truck for about a month and a half now, and have only done minor things.

Went to go pull a deer stand, and she looked good sitting offroad. I plan on taking my senior pictures with her after i fix some things on her.

thank you good sir, with me going to school, and working progress will be slow, as I'm also building my 69 k10 as well, ordered some headlights and tailights the other day, I will have to find a picture of them. havent got them yet, and will be sure to post it when i get them installed, Im prepping my fender I pulled from the junkyard for paint.

Got the light bar installed, and drove down by the flooded river to get some pics. I did not drive through any flood water to get there.

After fixing the massive oil leak, I have decided to "send it" and saturday am taking the ole girl on a 3 hour round trip drive to pick up the some tires for her to put on my bullethole rims.

So, with the lockdown, I have some time on my hand. Some parts are in the mail, and I plan to have her show truck ready in a few weeks.

All the regulars have left the old forum. They redesigned the board and inundated it with ads. People complained and they basically told us to pound sand, so we started a new forum, that we're funding 100% with voluntary contributions.

New board is www.atvhonda.com.

ALL of the mods from Hondaatvforums and Hondaforeman.com (Shadetree, Retro, Melatv, SamUK etc) helped set up the new board. They didn't like what the site owners did either.

There are 3-4 350D build threads at the moment going, so when you get ready to tear into that 350 sign up on the new forum.

So, with all of us being under quarantine, i figured I would start the major build of this truck.

As us northerners know, rust is HORRID up here, and unfortunately, scarlett did not escape the rust that has plagued northern trucks.

So, I started to strip her down.

You all know me, I cannot keep ANYTHING stock. So, I ordered some 20x9 rims, and picked a set of used 37s up for free off a buddy.

Also, I picked up a locked up 350 vortec 4 bolt main, and am in the process of building a mild lil 350 for scarlett

Also, the truck has had a hard life, and the bumper was mangled. instead of fight a junkyard one I ordered a re pop smoothie primered bumper

As most of you know, you cannot do cab corners without first pulling the bed. The bed on this truck fought me every step of the way, 2 outa the 8 bolts needed cut. i bought a c1500 for parts with a almost rust free bed, so that will be going on the truck after it gets painted. For those of you that do not know, you can use a engine hoist to pull the bed. I did not want to risk hurting my 37's so I put on some junk roller/ burnout tires.

After I got the bed of, I noticed that the frame was DIRTY, solid but dirty. that will have to change.
