None what so ever, I'll have to check tonite I Just finished the truck and to be honest I changed Front tire sizes 3 times and Rears 2 times during the build to get it like I wanted it, Luckily my local tire guy was willing to work with me during the build as long as I didn't drive on the tires he would send them back and get another size. 18's on the front and 20's on the rear

ddr11, What drop do you have and what are the specs on the wheels? Looks gook man!

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

5/7 drop fronts are 18x8 w/235/50/18 and rears are 20x10 w/295/40/20's factory wheel wells w/ no rubbing. Front was lowered with bell tec 2" dropped spindles and afco 9" 1000lb coils and and ride height adjuster cup, Rear has the axle flipped and shackles and a relocated 2" spring hanger

That is a good looking truck Alex41, kind of general Lee colored. Nice, any more details on the build.

Thanks boss. I'm not really digging the color, it's called chevy corral red (looks like hugger orange in person). I bought it before Christmas from a college kid who bought it at 15. It sports a mildly cammed 350/350 with a new 12 bolt 3.40 gear (long story) and a new set of 20x8 20x10 TT2's. I believe it has 2" lowering spindles with shackles and hangers out back on top of me removing a leaf from the spring pack.

I plan on dropping it at least another 2" all around soon and maybe doing a little engine and trans swap. ;)

I think your right on another 2" drop, what engine and trans swap you thinking.

Oh...just a little LS based something or another. :metal:

Not sure exactly which one yet but I'm trying to get a wrecked GTO with an LS2 and T56 set up. Future plans include some kind of forced induction, maybe twin hairdryers. :D

Zuke, love the pics but beware we are having non stop rain here in Phoenix and rain here means snow for the east. Also what's up with the exhaust are you melting the snow as you go?

Was trying to remember what that style grill is called, is it a phantom grille, don't see that much anymore, truck looks good.

Alex41 01-30-2015 11:03 PM

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

Thanks guys. Yes, it's a phantom grille. It was on there when I bought it, really not my favorite thing but like you said, it looks good on there so it will suffice till I can order some OE headlight bezels and cut this grille down to fit inside them.

BTW...I did purchase the LS2 from the GTO. It came with a 4L65E behind it not a T56. Should make for an easier install. ;)

The exhaust hangers rotted off that day but that was the least of my worries that day, the last pic at the top of the driveway it was dead (fuel pump dead) but it turned out the duel tank switch got knocked out just enough.

Well, here's an updated pic or two. New tires & rims, what's not current is that I added two inch drop shackles to the rear to level the truck out.

What kind of wheels? The truck looks great, really like the wheels. They look like the old daisys. My wheels source said they were no longer available. Again it looks great!

Thanks for the positive words! The rims are American Racing Torq Thrust II's with the PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating. The PVD gives the rim a kinda black tone to it. 15x8's up front, 15x10's in back. :chevy:
