Heater Light?
Tearing apart my heaters control panel and noticed the wiring to my heater light (lights up the Def, Fan and Heat rectangular panel) was cut very very close and I cant crimp back to it. Does anyone sell this piece? ClassicParts doesnt seem to. This is on a standard heater 1970

Can you post a photo of the part?

Re: Heater Light?
I'd have to get under the dash and look, but I think it's lit with a small bulb (1445, 1545?), I'll be under there tomorrow and can confirm. Unless of course one of the experts chimes in before

The bulb and socket should pull out, it just snaps into the housing.... LockDoc |

Re: Heater Light?
I have one in my hand with about 7 inches of wire & bulb , you can have it if you want , then can reimburse me on postage if it works out for ya.

Re: Heater Light?
I was in that same boat but for mine it was a little different. The wire just broke off of the part that was crimped. What I did was disassemble the plug and slide some heat shrink on the wire and solder it back together.

Find a standard socket (old style) like an 1157 brake light/turn signal, the older ones have the brass contact crimped onto the wire, they will usually pull right out the front of the socket...
