New Replacement Speakers for Stock radio
5 Attachment(s)
Has anyone used "S&M Electro - Tech, inc"? I am looking to replace my original non working speaker so I can keep my stock radio in my dash and found this website. $49.95 for the correct speaker for 1967 - 1972 Chevy trucks. They also have a Special Rectangle Stereo High Output one that can be mounted the same way using the original style bracket- $79.95 if you have a newer stereo. Let me know what you guys think thanks.....

Good sound quality?

Re: New Replacement Speakers for Stock radio
Good company to deal with. I don't know how to compare sound quality on an AM radio but my new speaker sounds good to me.

Re: New Replacement Speakers for Stock radio
I bought one of those dual speaker setups for mounting in the factory dash location to use with a RetroSound radio. The dual speakers probably fit fine in a non-ac truck but didn't clear the center ac dash vent. I had to take the speaker unit apart and remount the speakers from the top (their idea). Of course, I had to reattach the new gasket material and speaker cloth, which they provided. They said that I could return the speakers if it didn't work out (even after I took it all apart). In spite of the extra time and effort required, they were helpful and I'm happy with the end result.

Re: New Replacement Speakers for Stock radio
yep gang, I used them too. and like everyone else, I had a great experience dealing with them.
I bought the single cone, 8ohm, factory replacement type since I still run the original AM headunit. I can only get the Hispanic and Latin stations with my AM. I'm becoming a big mariache fan, OLE'!!! |

Re: New Replacement Speakers for Stock radio
Am getting my original radio redone with FM, Aurora Burtooth Conversion and USB port. My gas tank is out of the cab so plan on using 6 x 9's in each cab corner and using the speaker, just ordered today actually, in the attached link. I use the radio for talk radio and Satellite Radio and streaming my 60's/70's stuff from my iPhone. Wondering if anyone has installed this speaker in a factory A/C truck.
