Help with a left rear spring hanger (front) 72 Jimmy

Hi, I have a customer's 72 Jimmy I'm fixing for him - we replaced the leaf springs and shackles but the front of the rear leaf spring hanger is rotted out on the drivers side. Right now this thing is stuck on my lift. I thought about welding a large washer to a solid part of the mount.
