Thank you for this! A Google search brought me here. I just purchased a '73 Sierra Classic 15 (454 auto.) and this will make it so much easier to work on my pickup.

I tried IE, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. In all these browsers there is no "save as" . They all have "save link as" which doesnt work.
No matter what I try I get a "ERROR ACCESS DENIED" :(

I have a similar situation. Mine has "Save Target As". After several days trying, it's still the same thing.

Re: PDF of Square Schematics & GM Training Manuals

This is not permanent.
I disable global read access to the manual directories on johnnynightstick at random times for several days at a time.
I have several groups of IP addresses that hammer the server after it's up for more than 10-15 days. The script kiddies get bored and go away after they are locked out for several days. It will be back up and it will go down again for this reason.
If they used the same IP or IP group every time I'd set the server to ban those IP addresses.

The whole archive would fit on a 4gig thumb drive so if that knucklehead has downloaded them for his little enterprise he only used that much once.

Archive size: 2.4 GB
Number of Files: 128

I hit some Asian IP address ranges with the ban hammer and there seems to be less of the problem traffic.:metal:

Added 1985 service manuals

I want to join with the others with a very hearty thank you for the info.
I have an 84 K10 I have been trying to keep going for 8 years and recently got an 83 C20 that a kid owned and I have to make some corrections and adjustments.
The reference info you provided will be a great help to me.
Many thanks again......
Kev

Thank you folks that have expressed your appreciation. It is time consuming so it's being spread over several years. I'm not done yet.

I just added two GM Fuel Injection Training Textbooks to the server.
  • Fuel Injection for TBI on GM 1.0L - 5.7L engines.
  • 1992 Port Fuel Injection Diagnosis that covers fuel systems on;
    1992 GM V8 RPO LB9, LT1, LT5, & L98
    1992 GM L-4 RPO LE4, LN2, LD2, LG0, & L40.

Ian has probably added both Medium Duty parts books to gmpartswiki.com and he definitely has added the CUCV parts book.

Yes thank you very much. I have a lot of manuals myself but in today's age of technology, having all this information in one place on the Internet is a great resource. Many folks have already benefited from this knowledge with many many more to come.

Re: PDF of Square Schematics & GM Training Manuals

Hello,

new to this forum but have been a fan and owner of Chevy trucks for many years. Currently I have a 1973 K5 and a 1970 C50 Dump. Wow, what a great resource this is - thank you again!

I had success downloading the 70 Dump manuals - very hard to find paper ones. These will sure do for now!

However, I can not download any of the manuals under the 73-91 listing. I keep getting the following error: (right clicking and saving only gives me a PDF with 1kb size) Am I doing something wrong? I assume this is not one of those times when the server may be shut down due to scripters...

Error:
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

I scanned @7,000 pages from all six 73-91 parts books and Ian Harding hosted them on gmpartswiki.com for us. They are posted by publishing date and not coverage date so... Thankfully they are all loose leaf 3 ring bound on heavy bond paper the sheetfeed scanner passed them through in several hours over 5 days.

Several reasons to do this. The parts manuals are searchable PDF files now and I can bag the originals to keep them dry and stuff them in a metal box in the attic.
Helm is no longer printing the wiring manuals and some of mine are getting a little yellow around the edges. Not brittle yet but that's the next step.
Electronic copies backed up to the cloud in several places keeps them available to everyone and it'll be difficult to loose access to them via age and acts of god.
It's good Karma too.

My 1973 Chevy Light Truck Service Manual has 979 pages! It's almost exhausting looking through that thing, lol!
