Need an education - 1967 GMC stepside

Fleetside fan that just maybe is turning to a step side.
Being a bit fussy, GMC - 1967 only, if I could.

I assume a fleetside/stepside cabs are one in the same, correct?
The bed would be the only "real" difference?
Spare tire, rear lights, tail gate, bed swapable w/a Chevy?
Any 1/2 ton vs. 3/4 ton vs. 1 ton differences?
Do longhorn beds exist for '67?

Anything I should ask, but don't know to ask?

Thanks much, appreciate the info,
....don t. .....

no longhorns in 67
beds themselves will be the same other than the tailgate and of course side markers
lights, spare tire and the mounts will be the same
cabs will be the same
as for 1/2 ton vs 3/4: the only difference is the suspension
GMc will have leafs whereas chevy will be coils most of the time

GMC called them Widesides and Fendersides. Just unplug the harness at the back of the frame and plug in the other

Fleet = Widesides?
Step = Fendersides?

Never heard of these terms before.

Yes, GMC called the step beds fendersides and the wide bed fleetside.If you find a 67 it is dead on match but if you find a 68-72 bed to put on it will have marker lights and to match the front you will need a set of marker fillers welded in. That is the only diff I can tell between the two is the markers.
There were no long horns in 67 but there was long and short btep beds, I'm not sure about 67 but there was also 9ft steps but I assume it was later in the run since there wasn't a 67 longhorn

There were always 1t pickups (9') way back to the '30s. '72 was the last year. '68 was the first year for a Fleetside 1t, which Chevy called the Longhorn to help promote it. GMC never gave their C/3500 Wideside an official name that I know of. Some say they were called Custom Campers. Never looked into that, but seems odd they'd use a name already in use for another feature.

Here is a few pics of a 1970 GMC extended bed fleetside that I almost bought.

Only badging on the truck was "Custom Camper".
