diesel swap - fuel sending unit help

2 Attachment(s)
I have a cummins swapped k30 crew cab and have been using the original passenger side gas sending unit, but the tank has sprung a leak so I'm swapping in a new tank and a diesel sending unit. The new diesel unit has a ground wire that's inside, I have no idea where it connects as the old unit doesn't have one. Any one have any ideas? I dont like the idea of a lose wire inside the tank either haha.

Ive attached a few pics of the new unit.

Re: diesel swap - fuel sending unit help

Is this for a Gen 1 Cummins? My Gen 2 (2001) sending unit looks different (canister type). On all the Gen 1 Cummins fuel pickups I have seen before, both of these wires connect to the sensor rheostat. Out of curiosity, could you share what engine you are using and what year of truck you are putting it in?
