Solid side window template

Hi All,

For anyone who had made a template for a solid side window (or any flat glass window for that matter), how did you go about it? I'm wondering specifically about the clearance between the glass and the pinch weld. I seem to recall seeing someone had done this, and left about 1/8th inch clearance around the perimeter of the glass, to allow for the window seal. Does that sound about right?

Thanks in advance, I did do some searching but couldn't find a specific answer.

Thanks Rocknrod, I did look at the Sanders website, but I don't think they sell the templates, just the glass. I was thinking about just making my own template, and getting the glass locally.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong about Sanders selling the templates. Thanks.

Yes, they only sell the glass. The templates are "intellectual property", if they sold those, they wouldn't have a glass business. ;)
