Want to get back into a Blazer/Jimmy!

Hello all, i had a blazer that I loved and drove daily when I was single then sold it when I needed to thin the projects. That was 15 years ago and I'm more stable, married, and family and want to get another. BUT I don't need such a project. I'm happy to pay a little more for one that has had the rust addressed. (I can handle the rest if needed) but with the commitments I don't have the time that I use to have.

I have the future plan to put a 12v Cummins in a Blazer but I'm still driving that donor truck and just want a ready to go Blazer now and get a second for a project later!

Where do ya'll recommend searching for these trucks? I'd love to buy someone else's' project and just jump into using it since I also just moved and don't have room for a non-driving project now either.

I have subscribed to the Blazer find thread. but if any of you are looking to sell off to start a new project feel free to shoot me a PM!

I search Ebay daily and SearchTempest but I thought ya'll may know of other sources?

"deep pockets" means as lot to different folks...

Any one have any Guidance on what price range to expect to pay?

Tell me if I'm way off. Below is kind of what I've seen just between EBay and Craigslist across the country... Please adjust if my expectations are out of line?

$3-5k for one that needs a lot of work?
$5-8 for Maybe running but intact with unrepaired rust?
$12-19 for repaired rust daily driver?
>$20-25 for average frame off
$25k-50k for high quality restore depending on detail and numbers matching vs replacement parts?

Then I'll know what's appropriate when i find a good deal to jump on it?

Looks like you have a good understanding of "deep pockets" those estimates are spot on.....
I bought a complete '71 that needed a lot of work..like everything...... for $3K
This '70 had all the body work done, paint, a new lift kit, and new wheels and tires.....upwards of $15K.............
It needs complete interior redo....and I have all the components for a LS1/4L60E/241C swap in the future..
right now I just drive, and enjoy it....

There's a decent 1970 CST in Lake Tahoe on eBay right now. Up to $19k

That truck looks to be pretty nice. Has a tilt column, aftermarket steering wheel and locking console. Personally, not a fan of the tan interior but that is an easy fix. If I was looking for nice 350/350 truck, I would take a drive up to Lake Tahoe to see it in person. I wont buy anything without seeing it in person; I have been smoked twice buying something based off of pictures and the owners description.

Are matching numbers really becoming a big deal with Blazers? Coming from a C2 Corvette owner I hope not. If somebody asks to look at my engine stamp I know right away that they are a dickhead.

Yeah, Raven. That's the one. 383, hydraulic assist brakes, front drive assembly already done. Had I not just bought mine, I would be looking at that one.
