I have two, an 06' 3500 LBZ 52,000 miles and an 06' 2500HD LBZ 356,000 miles.

WE have two, a 2002 and this 05. WE bought the 05 new, and it now has 250,000 miles on it. I drove it to Florida last week and it got a solid 22 mpg.

I drove a new Ram Cummins to Colorado two weeks ago. It was nice but I was still glad to get back in my Duramax.

Bought mine new back in 2005. Just rolled 100,000 miles. Has helped us move few time between west cost states. Love the truck. Only one time went into limb mode in Oregon because of injector #2 harness issue.

My daily driver, a 2000 Yukon XL that has a 02 Sierra 2500 LB7 with Allison along with 14 bolt full floater rear end. Went from 11 mpg with 4.10 gears in a 6.0l to 19mpg with 3.73 gears and LB7. Love the power in an SUV.

Time to bring it back. Bought another, 2001 GMC Sierra 2500HD. The owner of the company I work for bought it brand new for himself. When he bought the 08' or 10' he has now it went out in the field. Real good shape, fully loaded, programmer, air bags with 212,000 miles. Going to clean it up, drive it and see which GMC to keep. 06' GMC runs good, 363,000 miles now but less options then the 01'

2001 3500 LB7 159,000 miles. Bought it wrecked from the original owner.
pretty stock except for the 19.5" wheels and the 5" exhaust.

I have joined the Duramax owners club. It's my first Duramax and I am impressed. It's a 04.5 with 57K original miles. I am looking forward to towing my 56 truck to the coast next year with it.

We sold this one a while back. It had been coast to coast, always pulling a trailer. 280,000 miles and going strong. I'm not sure why I sold it.


The only problem with these is the transfer case. A chain wears a hole in the case.

'04 GMC 3500 crew cab long bed 225k. We've had it since 05 and it had 35k on it. After towing our 28' 26,000# concession trailer around for a few years, it's almost time to sell it. We pull our travel trailer around with it now, but the trailer is to light and the ride in the GMC is a little to rough. We'll find a newer diesel 3/4t 4x4 shortbed to smooth out the ride.
