1968 C10 Lift?
I would like to lift my '68 C10 to above 1/2 ton stock height (it is currently lowered with drop springs). Something similar to more of a 4WD stance/height. Any recommendations on the easiest, best, and/or cheapest way to accomplish this? Thanks

How rough a ride can ya tolerate ?

Re: 1968 C10 Lift?
I’m going to be doing this shortly myself. I’ll be using lift spindles in the front for 4”, and blocks out back for 2”, giving it a level stance that will clear 33” tires and maintain a factory ride and alignment.

What lift spindles can you buy?

Re: 1968 C10 Lift?
Sounds like lift spindles are the way to go. I have been told before some guys would use 3/4 springs to try and add some height but also sacrifice their ride at the same time. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, spindles won't affect the ride. I don't think 3/4t or 1t coils yield more than an inch. I mean, look at a C/20. Does it sit like a 4wd? You can't get much lift in the suspension before killing geometry, ability to properly align. The tires have to play a roll in the taller look. I want to know about what spindles we can use.

There is a write up in FAQ listing all the parts for using 88-98 spindles for the purpose of a disc brake conversion. A lot of people used to do this to keep 6 lug pattern up front, and using easy off the shelf parts. You can use 5 lug rotors as well. When I saw this lift kit on a truck in the junkyard, I remembered you can use the spindles on our trucks, so I pulled everything off...spindles, springs, upper control arms. Fabtech makes NICE stuff :metal:
