I installed the seat today. This is the first time I have had the seat in there with the new carpet. Getting closer to actually being able to drive it.

I pulled the air conditioning apart, flushing the lines, evaporator and condenser. I am going to installed the new style aluminum replacement compressor and a new expansion valve. I hope I can get this A/C working.

Today was a big day for me. After a year and four months since I brought the truck home, today is the first time I got to drive it . I got my tags and insurance. I finished working on the a/c, installed the new compressor vacuumed and charged with R12. I am getting 49-50 out of the center vent, I thought in might do better. I drove down and filled up the gas tank and my gauge only when to a quarter of a tank. I had tested the gauge and I installed a new sending unit and float, I don't know whats wrong there. The truck drives and rides great. I put 20 miles on it.

Man, you have done an excellent job on this truck! Did you use single stage for the paint? You sure laid it down nice and smooth! Where in the world are you finding R-12 let alone that isn't over $150/lb?

Thanks, The paint I have been using is base-clear. I bought the R-12 at a swap meet , $20.00 a can.

There is still a lot to do to the truck, but for now I am going to drive it. I cleaned it up real good. Future plans are to install a quadrajet.

Larry, Thanks for the complements. I wish the PB pictures where there. When I was looking for a truck I think I might have come over and looked at one you had for sale, around Jan,2016 I had my wife with me. I ended up buying this one local. Here is a more recent picture.

I don't think it was me, because I don't seem to sell anything.

What truck did you look at here?

It was in Harrison I found it on craigslist. It was kind of turquoise and white 71-72 super. I think it was also advertised on this forum.

I love that color, but I don't remember the truck. Where was it located?

Larry, I do not remember exactly where it was but I think it was east of town quite a ways in the country. He has several of these trucks.

I remember a Super that was medium green and white on CL.

The pictures looked like the truck was at a poultry farm.

If he has these trucks, I'm should know him, but I'm drawing a blank.
