Ring Gear Bolts Backing Out
1 Attachment(s)
Has anyone ever experienced this. The Ring Gear Bolts in my Sons Truck are backing out. I don’t know the guy he had build the rear end but I don’t see Any Evidence of Loc Tight Anywhere. 1 bolt got bounced around and exited through the back cover, this one wasn’t all the way out Yet and every other bolt was finger tight. Nothing looks hurt (Most bolts were still tight) so we’re going to put New ARP Bolts in with loc tight and see what happens

Re: Ring Gear Bolts Backing Out
All Back together and working Fine. Think we dodged a bullet on this one. Every bolt had wear where it was in contact with the Ring Gear. All but 2 I took out with just my fingers
New ARP Bolts and Red Loc Tite and were back in Business. |
