"Utility Seat" option for Blazers.....???

I've seen a couple Blazers with seats that are unfamiliar looking....

They appear to be a factory bucket, but are MUCH more square on both the bottom cushion and the backrest, than the ones in my own blazer....... which is more of a "tapered back"

Could these be the "utility seats" I've seen in some of the old Chevrolet documentation??

Does anyone have a picture of a "utility seat" so that I can compare it to what I've seen?

Finally, any idea of the value relative to a "normal" seat? Are the utility seats something that people want to find, or get rid of??? :D

Most folks want the sport buckets. Thats what all the seat covers that are sold are for. I'll try to attacha photo of mine. This is the view from the back. Notice they are shorter and wider. Jeff.

The way I understand it from the old "Blazernet" board is that they are the optional "Heavy Duty" buckets. Usually found on upper end GMC Jimmy's (like mine) and utility vehicles. The utility vehicles came with only a drivers seat unless ordered with passanger side too.

do they have the same brackets and mounting holes?

I bought a set of these seats (just frames and cushions a few years ago from a guy for $125. The thing I like about them is that the springs and cushions are seperate pieces where the other style seats the springs are imbedded in the cushions. I had mine recovered for $250. They look great and I drove from NC to WA and back last summer and they are pretty comfortable.
