Re: Twin Turbo and Dropmember equipped, Jeremy's '65

It uses a pair of sealed bearings, not a bushing. It's a kit from Thorbecke Bros. A quality piece in my opinion.

Finally have a little free time so I thought I'd post more pics and surf the forum a little.

Tubing for the bag crossmember in place. Laying out a design for the plate:

Radiused all the edges for a cleaner look:

Dude!
Ultra-nice work!
how are you cutting the shtuff from plate? with a plasma, or having it laser cut?
Hopefully you are not doing it by hand, but real kudo's if you are.

Thanks! I cut the bag crossmember plate by hand. I used a 3" hole saw and a 4 1"2 cutoff blade in a grinder. After the holes were drilled I used 2" and 3" rolocs to grind the radius. The 4 link and Watts link tabs were laser cut cause they came in kits but I did all the fitment to the tubes by hand. You'd be surprised what you can do with good hole saws and good quality abrasives.

Big kudo's to you!!!
I understand and can appreciate your skills!
But you would also be suprised what you can do with an autocad .dxf file and a decent laser source.
I guess that I seem to lose touch a little, as I help manage a specialty tooling shop where I have contacts that I source tube-bending, and laser work with on a regular basis....But you still have to draw it, and send them a file, and a lot of times it is easier to do it on-the-fly!
Awesome build BTW!!!!

I can appreciate having friends and contacts with nice equipment. I struck out on my own 1yr ago today. I've slowly been adding equipment as I can find deals on it but have several friends, eldogg from Queen City Speed being one who have been more than willing to lend me a tool or use of their equipment to get a job done right.

I'm almost positive it was C&O. It might have been in March or April. You were parked in the lot to the left of the main lot.
