Bucket Seats

Considering putting buckets in my 70 C-10, and was wondering what newer buckets/consoles work for size. Also if anyone has pics of there buckets/interiors.

These are 88 to 91 only Chevy truck lowback bucket seats. The 67-72 blazer console fits between them perfectly. I only have one sittin in it till I get them recovered to match, but you can see the fit is great. It sits further back than a buddy bucket so I have more arm room.

Nice seats there. Was it difficult to get them in?

cool seats, is the orig fuel tank behind the seat?

wzuke 01-08-2011 12:50 AM

Re: Bucket Seats

The original tank is behind the seat - the tank fits the slant of the seats so it is not an issue. The seats were not all that hard to put in. I did a post awhile back showing how I made the brackets (with pictures).

Im in the process of fitting the driver, and right rear seats from a 99 grand cherokee. Driver seat should be done tomorrow, it was pretty easy. The other seat will be much tougher since its not made to mount to a horizontal floor.

Those ones that spazzy has are certainly an eye catcher. Nice looking!
Mike, do you have an automatic with the shifter on the floor? Or is it a standard? Just wondering about clearance issue's.

I like mine! They're '80s vintage BMW 600 series seats recovered and an '80s
Suburban console dyed to match. Still gat a lot to do, though.

There are some aftermarket seats also available that may interest you. Seats are by Scat and are their Pro Car Lowback Series, got them from Summit Racing. Console is from a 1976 Blazer.

Lakeroadster, what are you running for a tranny? I like that setup you got there, pretty sharp, still looks retro.

Thanks, it's a M-21 Muncie 4-speed with a '57 Chevy passenger car Hurst shifter.
