brake booster relocate
Do any of you guys know how i can either mount a later modle booster or somehow make the power brake system smaller or closer to the fire wall. I am building my twin turbo deal and the factory brake system is in the way. on the last truck i made it manual brakes and for racing it was ok but on the street i need to be able to stop fast.

Re: brake booster relocate
I bought a stainless dual diaphram 7" booster and it bolted in place... looked great and would never rust... they are available from most vendors or hot rod shops... or you can get the gold cadmium plated ones for a fe bucks less...

Re: brake booster relocate
Can i ask how much they run? How does it work? It just bolts right in place without any mods?
Thanks |
Re: brake booster relocate
You can google it to find multiple source... and there is always eBay.... anywhere from $85 for zinc coated to $200 for a nice stainless one... there is chrome too but rust may creep in after a while depending on quality or the chrome...
Amazon.com: 7" Universal Dual Diaphragm... They should just bolt in place... there are 4 studs that should line up with factory ones... |
