Fuse Box

Does anyone have a list of what blades in the fuse box are hot all the time and which ones are hot with key on? Also which are fused? Could fiqure this out if I had power going to the fuses at this time. As always any help is appriciated.

The first tool you'll need when doing electrical work is a wiring diagram. It will answer most of your questions. If you don't have one, go here and download the proper one for your vehicle..

Thank you for the link. I have a wiring diagram and do refer to it often. In this case a connected electrical system and a test light would me a better solution IMO. I will check it out when my wiring is complete just hoping to find an answer to my questions before I reach that point.

If we knew what year truck you had would be very helpful seeing how there are many, many types of GM, GMC trucks out there.:chevy:

Thanks Andy for pointing that out. I should of included it along with my question. It's a 69 C10.

In most cases, you don't need to apply power to a circuit to test it.. Simply use the continuity feature on a DVM...
