Hope I don't screw this first post up! Trim moulding

I've been looking for the front hood edge trim for my '68 and ran across this but didn't want to post in the for sale area. The whole set of lower trim and it looks like the emblems are there as well. He says it's OEM. Does the lower trim fit the blazer's as well?http://www.ebay.com/itm/140628637524...9#ht_500wt_949

Only side mouldings that would fit from this eBay set is on the fenders and doors. Blazer rear quarter sheet metal is different than a truck from the doors back. If you think about it, a truck uses two pieces between the doors and the rear wheel opening (cab and bed) - blazer uses one piece. The two little pieces in the lower box are for the cab - a blazer doesn't have a cab. I believe the side moulding behind the rear wheel opening is different truck/blazer as well.

Something else to note is that the eBay trim is for a 67-68 truck. Although some pieces may fit, blazers weren't made by GM in 67 and 68 so you will not find a complete set of these mouldings in this style for a blazer. The blazer side trim you will find from vendors is the later style that does not go over the wheel openings. ...and only the lower. GM did not put upper side trim on blazers.

That being said, I would still like to see the 67-68 side trim applied to a blazer with the 68 front clip.

stomper...first blazers were made in 70, right? I've seen guys put 67/68 trim on 69-72 pickup trucks, but it just didn't look right to me...I'd be interested in seeing it on a blazer though...maybe someone can photoshop one??

I'll move over to the Blazer post:( but I'm work on putting a '68 clip on a '70 Blazer and liked the '67-'68 trim and thought it might work but you guys are talking me out of it. To much custom stuff already invested in it. See you on the Blazer side. I miss my '68 396 4spd SWB. Somebody else could use the trim.

I believe the wheel base (and hence the wheel openings and trim lengths needed) are different. Pretty sure my Blazer is 104" and shortbed is 115".

Welcome to the boards from Philly.....luckily the side trim is longer for a pickup, all you have to do is cut it down alittle

I just picked up a 68 hood w/ moulding, if you need it give me a shout....not the hood just the moulding lol
