Went ahead and ordered the Wheel Vintiques Series 82, 16”x8” 8 Lug Steelies. Went with Jegs, and the shipping date says June...

I know there are current frustrations with WV, but they make the wheel I need! I had their Series 62 15’s on my ‘70 and I loved them, so here’s hoping for the best!

Not sure how I missed this one for sale! Nice find, always liked the green/white combo....4x4 conversion and it'd be perfection for me!

Trust me, the thought has crossed my mind more than once...

I just keep repeating "but it runs so good dont mess with it" over and over again!

I was just looking at some more heavy duty front springs to possibly level it out a tad...

Also, scored a great set of 3/4 caps, Thanks PICKMUP, now just waiting forever for the Steelies from Wheel Vintiques.

New carpet from ACC arrived, but it's raining now so I'm gonna wait a few days before I tackle that one.

Speaker stuff is almost all complete, bluetooth works awesome and speakers sound GREAT! Just gotta wire up the am/fm radio to the amp so I can still tune in my local stations... Posted a 'help' thread over in the audio section. Feel free to stop over there and offer any advice.

Sweet ass truck! Love the colour my Pontiac LeMans is like this! 1-yr only interior/exterior!

Does anyone know if they still sell factory Speakers for these trucks? Mines a 82 K10

Finished up the wiring on my stereo system. Now it plays the factory AM/FM radio through, as well as bluetooth connection to my phone. So happy with this setup. Everything hidden, factory radio in dash, and all the awesome tunes I could ever want!

Also added more carpet underlay and a fresh carpet in "Willow Green" from ACC. Install was pretty straightforward. Took a little massaging in the corners, but overall fairly painless.

Love these mats. Previous owner had a thing for Mooneyes products I guess (note the bag hanging on the floor vent knob too) and it goes so well with the green interior that I am just gonna keep it as is.

Sure is! After my previous '70 SWB was kind of a basket case, I'm really loving having a truck that's all there, everything works, and isn't hard to look at.

Wow, never seen any other cars in this color... although the new camaros have a pretty bright green going these days...

Factory speakers? check Retrosound. They make factory replacements for most vintage vehicles. But to be honest, their stuff is overpriced for what you get. Your truck most likely has 3.5" speakers in the dash which you can replace with nearly any 3.5" speaker with little to no modification, and whether or not your truck came with kick panel or behind the seat speakers those are easily replaceable with higher quality speakers for far less.

Going back to factory for any reason other then correct restoration is not worth it.

Call Crutchfield, they have great customer service and will advise you on speaker selection. :metal:

Was looking at the same sound deadener. About how many sheets did it take to cover? Looking forward to seeing how it works out.

Thank you! Yeah take a look, there’s a handful of different Bluetooth amps on the market, but I liked this one for its price, 4x100 amp channels and speaker level inputs so you can connect the stock radio.

Thanks! I’ll keep an eye out for ya, I’m at most of the local Friday Night cruise get togethers put on by the Northbay C10 club guys. Plus my buddies and I host a Cars n Coffee get together every 4th Sunday of the month at Penngrove Market. 9AM. The next one is the 28th of this month.

Thank you! Yeah it’s growing on me. I have the original, but it’s missing the Woodgrain trim piece and it’s super gummy. I love having the tilt! It’s so cool to have a well optioned truck, after most of my old rides were bare bones rigs.

I used "Kilmat" brand from Amazon, 36 sqft. Covered the entire floor and back of cab, plus a sheet or two extra for the speaker enclosures. Seemed to be same quality or pretty close to dynamat, hushmat etc. When buying, do yourself a favor and purchase a high quality roller, you use the HECK out that thing to get it all down flat. I got a wooden handled one from Noico (also amazon)

Cab sounds nice and quiet now!

Sweet Pea blending in with the Spring colors...

Also used the Year Of Manufacture license plate program to run a sweet set of proper plates. Scored the plates from a buddy, and the stickers from Old Plate Guy. Just need some cool plate frames to complete the look.

@Short Haul

Is that the original steering column on your truck?

Far as I know... I’d be pretty surprised if it wasn’t, aside from the steering wheel (which was included in the sale) the interior is awfully stock.

So the speaker wires from the radio just connect to the amp ? Just that easy ? Also how do you like the sound from the fr. speakers being in the center ?

Yup. Basically that easy. Just be sure that the amp you buy has “speaker level” inputs. Otherwise you’ll have to use a line output reducer.

The sound quality in the truck is very good. I am not a huge audiophile, and I’m sure there’s a better setup for a true surround sound system, but all I know is that when I hop in and crank up some AC/DC it sounds frickin awesome!! :metal:

Got my wheels in!! Wheel Vintiques 16x8's. Pretty pumped to see them arrive, as Jegs had them back ordered clear till June. Now I just have to work on getting them painted white. On the fence between powder coat and rattle can. Local PC place quoted $125 A WHEEL! Which is more than they cost each! Anybody been down this road before? Is it even worth trying to save a buck and doing a scuff and spray?
