Not mine, not interested, but I know some of you like these.

I'm 99.5% sure that one is the serial #1303 that was an aborted project from a guy I know in Novi MI. The Jimmy was beyond repair and the camper is so-so. I track everyone I can find, my 'trick' for a national search of Craigslist is this kind of site search by google. Seems to work fairly accurately and is less cumbersome than one of the various other craigslist search web sites...

I copy n' paste these to a list I keep for our Yahoo Chalet owners' forum, it's up to 36 of these at the moment, though one or two of them may have been sold. Anybody who wants the list can PM me.

#1303 Casa Grande below, before the camper part was separated from the Jimmy.

The link for the one in post #3 expired, but I kept the contact info for it. I've discovered some of these remain unsold for a year or more by the same seller.

Latest one in Denver CO, seller is open for reasonable offers, said the previous owner provided all the emissions records, which it passed even just recently. Serial #1009, built 1/77

As ever, no affiliation, the only thing I ever ask for is the serial number / build date from the sellers, and that they try to make sure these go to a really appreciative home.

Thought I'd mention the Casa Grande shell in post #2 was recently purchased by a new member in our Yahoo Chalet / Casa Grande forum, he bought two other Chalet shells-only in the 'greater Mighigan / Ohio' area, also. Glad somebody has time, ambition, and extra money for these old things.

Speaking of which, (if that same guy doesn't buy it first), here's another "needs much work" Casa Grande in the Midland, Michigan Craigslist. It's #1360, one digit off from the Portland OR Casa Grande in the previous post

There's gotten to be so many of these scattered all over the country, I've created a regularly updated Google map to help me remember where they all are. PM me for info on a a specific one, this map only shows the basic city/town location. The standard disclosure applies, I'm not affiliated with any seller and my only reward for doing this is the sharing of many of the rigs' serial numbers & build dates.

Don't know anything about it, and it's not mine. Just throwing it out there.

Always glad to have more eyes looking out for these. That one used to be on this Blazer, photo courtesy of the blazerchalet.com web site.

The previous seller kept the Blazer (a non-original one, I think), and the camper unit had lost its serial number plate long ago when that big A/C grille on the left side was put in there. Two big A/Cs for a small camper? Who knows why that was done. The current seller belongs to our Yahoo forum, and unfortunately has to weed out the 'excess projects'.

Just found one posted on the Orange County, California Craigslist. Looks to be in pretty good shape. Its a '77 and the guy wants $5000. Has pics of outside and inside attached.

The one in this thread, also seen here? It's in Escondido, but sellers list such in multiple nearby cities. Or is it a different one?

I can't seem to find one in a quick surf through the OC Craigslist, but my searches are imperfect, I can always use more eyes looking for these.

There was one for sale here in northwest Florida (Milton/Pensacola area) about a year ago... have not been able to find it or see where it went since... they were asking $1500 for a decent body, unknown engine condition...

Cool, please keep an eye out for it. The last one that I knew of in Florida was a $6500 '76 in St Petersburg (SN #0671) with orange wheels, it is now owned by one of our Yahoo Chalet forum members in Pennsylvania.

I want one of these things, but there's simply no justification. I'd have to really enjoy camping.

Was at a shop yesterday buying some parts off a guy, he had one of these in his shop in the corner, I have never seen one before. Was this a GM option or was it installed aftermarket then sold thru GM. Looks kinda cool.

Listed as an option on the vehicle RPO tag, but essentially it wasn't like something a customer could pick & choose, the whole vehicle came that way from the 'factory' as a joint thing between GM and Chinook. A particular color combo set of Blazers / Jimmys ('76 colors here, '77s here) were pulled off the line, sent somehow to Chinook who plopped the campers permanently on (bolted down with the camper electrics spliced into the main wiring), and then sent back to GM for distribution.

Regarding the one at the shop you saw, any chance you could return there and snag pics? I'm the guy who tries to track all of these still in existence, and I could especially use the camper serial # & build date, along with the VIN of the truck.

No obligation, of course, but would be much indebted to you for that info.

12-17-18 Edit: Oh, wait - does the rig look exactly like this one, but with more pine needles on it now? A person on Facebook alerted me to this one, Chalet #1737, which I knew was last located in Chester, and he was taking to to nearby Weimar.
