Radiator hose help!
Where can I get a chrome or stainless steel radiator hose? My truckbha a 350, it's 2wd akd a short wheel base! I have seen them in a lot of show cars, and trucks and I really want one, I can't find one anywhere!

You can find various styles of hoses at Summit Racing. If you are looking for a solid tube/hose combo like I have pictured below (painted black), you can't buy them. As far as I know no one makes them so it will need to be custom built.

Re: Radiator hose help!
If it is just the look of stainless steel or chrome you are after, there a companies that make sleeves that go over your rubber hose with matching fittings at the ends. The cost of solid stainless would be very high (like $200 + per hose), and replacing stock hoses every couple of years is inexpensive - I think some (Goodyear?) used to have lifetime warranties, but I would not want to wait until the hose burst open to get a warranty replacement. Some say the metal covers actually retain heat while the plain rubber hoses dissipate heat.

Re: Radiator hose help!
Thanks guys! I guess the hoses I have seen are custom! I like the black painted one though! Is there anywhere online that I could order one like that? I don't really want to pay too much! It's just that my ac compressor bracket is rubbing holes into my rubber one! And the way it's set up there's nothing I can do about it

Re: Radiator hose help!
GM makes a stock plastic cover for the radiator hose to take care of that rubbing problem. It is black and clamps to the radiator hose with to built in zip tie type connectors. I will see if I can find one on the net.

pep bpys sells some braided chrome stuff that you can stretch around hoses to give the custom look

Re: Radiator hose help!
Can't find the stock one. Classic Parts has a lower radiator hose protector for $3.95 (looks like it is just a piece of split pipe wrap, which might work in your case. Or, just split a piece of old radiator hose and fasten it with a couple of black tie wraps.

Pics of my 83 C20 upper hose protector (what I was referring to) and a different type of lower hose protector (looks like a big wire loom). Both seem to do the job, but I had to add extra tie wraps because the stock integral tie wraps broke.
