Let’s talk wheel spacer

Anyone use spacers like this on the rear?
Thinking about using a 3/4 or 1 inch spacer to push custom wheels closer to body edges |
Re: Let’s talk wheel spacer
I hate spacers.

Re: Let’s talk wheel spacer
Spacers aren’t optimal but I have used bolt on spacers (as you show) for years without any issue on my other cars.
Stick to name brands however. I can’t stress this enough. I won’t go into it the nightmare I had with cheap eBay spacers… just stick to name brands, follow proper torque specs and recheck those torque specs after the initial few hundred miles. Good luck. |
Re: Let’s talk wheel spacer
I have been running spacers on my truck for years. I would rather not run spacers, but I wanted to run a modern looking factory style wheel. With the spacers, I could have them made to the exact thickness I wanted, so I could place the tire where I needed it. I always tighten and loosen them several times the first time that I mount them to seat them well, and add a little extra torque to the nuts, around 10 percent over. I have not had any problems as of yet. I have ran spacers on other cars in the past, and have never had one break, or come loose.

Re: Let’s talk wheel spacer
I have 3/4" spacers on the rear of my truck. They were not easy to install due to the stud length and width of the lug nut. If you can go 1", you would be much better off.
I do not haul anything over a few hundred pounds due to the coilovers. They work fine and I have never had an issue. I had them on a previous truck also with no issues. |

Ran the bolt on spacers 1" thick on my 68 C10 with zero issues. 450 HP LS swap.

I'm using 1.5" hub centric spacers on the rear, by TITAN. Great quality, no issues. They're with 15x8 ralleys on 275 60R15 tires - everything else is OEM stock.
