Messy mice
 

Look what i got into today. Peeled back some rust only to find the reason for the rust in the first place. I figured the rust was from the drip rail leaking inside.

The only reason for keeping pet mice is so that you can fed them to your pet snake. All other mice are only good for making a cat's breath bad.

Wow. Who would think they could do that much damage? I thought my heater box was bad. Makes you wonder what is hidden sometimes.

They can be very destructive in more ways than one. This is what was in the interior side of the heater box on the '71. The heater core was completely blocked off on the inside. I haven't taken the outside off yet but I'm sure it will be more of the same.

Also that nasty pee smell,took me a while to get the stink out of my heater box when I restored my 1970 C10, lots or Purple Power.

Their urine is probably the main reason that rusted out as much as it did....its very caustic stuff.
The are awful things, vermin.....

I worked with a guy who had a backup vehicle that was a jeep Cherokee. It sat outside and 2 different times the squirrels chewed up the gas lines.

I wish they hadn’t done away with The Esso tiger in your tank. Maybe he could’ve kept them out. LOL. They are definitely destructive.

That's not rust, that's urine burn-through! Ewwww....

I moved a bucket seat today and about a bushel of little corn-nut things fell out of it. I feel your pain!

There's a open spot on both side's of the cab corner area that goes all the way up next to the door pillar to cab roof. Basically same area as where the clothes hanger is. I suppose it's left open to let the cab breath better.

I've went out to my buddy's farm where some of my truck's are to get parts before and seen snake skin's. Always makes me nervous.

I used to be an exterminator. An old company salesman told me a few things about the job (and nature) that make sense.

You don't need chemicals to keep pests out, you just need the right predators. Birds of prey eat birds, cats eat mice, snakes eat mice, lizards eat spiders, ants eat termites.

He also said cat urine was a great mouse repellent. I'd like to do some qualitative study in those areas some time.

They did the same thing to my 46 intenational.
Its a rust free truck other than where the mouse nest was in the roof.
I use peppermint oil in all my cars for winter storage.
I also put moth balls under the hood where they could get into the heat system.

If mice were in the heat ducts you pretty much have to replace everything because as soon as you use the heat it will melt all the stuff in there and you will never get rid of the smell.
