Re: 1972 Chevy 4wd Longhorn Project: Never Ending Changes
Dieselwrencher I have a Boyd welding 19 gallon cell and used a 88-98 Chevy door in my bed floor. My truck being a short bed any work I do with it I will most likely have a trailer behind me, but I also was concerned about the day I have a full pickup load and need fuel. Here's some pics, the door landed where the bed support is so that had to be notched.

Rgreathouse, that turned out nice!
I got some different front emblems from Shortie. They look closer to the originals compared to the ones I have on it now. |

I'd like a set for my suburban grille like that, just "359". But I don't know which year grille I'm going with yet.

Very nice emblems Ryan! I really like the subtle custom touches.

I did buy some shock mounts for the D60, adjustable bump stops for the rear suspension, and the secret shiny things too. Still no word on my converter. I bet the builder is at TS getting ready to race. I'd really like to get the trans back in this thing before June. I forgot to show a pic with the 35s on it. I stole them off the 76 since it's just setting around any way. |

Those wheels look good . I'm still a fan of your fat steel wheels with the period correct hub caps on em . Nice to see your still moving fwd. It never stops does it . Lol.

Yesterday my converter shipped! Now to get this pig put back together. The goal is to drive it in July. I'd like to actually drive it in June but we'll see. |
