A couple pics of her outside with the top on..
Ended up buying HP Tuners and am currently fumbling through tuning it up a bit. She runs pretty good with the 6.2 and six speed. Considering changing the 3.73's for 4.10's. The double OD has it reving about 1400 rpm's at 65mph. Would be nice to have the rpm's a little higher in the power band. |
Re: 72 Blazer build
What crossmember did you use for the t case and is it in the stock location?
|
Re: 72 Blazer build
The transmission crossmember is in the stock location. I had to make a block to adapt from the np241 to the original holes in the crossmember. Was quite simple. I believe I used a piece of 1x2 square tubing.

How much clearance did that leave between firewall and engine/heads?

I would say a couple inches. It’s tucked in there pretty tight.

Re: 72 Blazer build
Beautiful build! Looking for some exhaust options for my 6.0 swap into my K5 and am searching for exhaust manifold/header options. Have heard great things about the Speed Engineering headers and even though they say not for 4x4 I wanted to confirm that these were the ones you are using that fit our frames:

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I’ve decided to let this one go at Barrett Jackson in January. It will be sold on Wednesday the 15th Primetime lot 724. Wish me luck, (oh and I just bought a 72 Highlander Blazer so stay tuned for that build).
