Might want to figure out what year vehicle and what engine you have. If a V8, short or long water pump? Then look for a similar engine setup accessory drive.

I got mine on Rock Auto. ACDELCO 3342190 - 12SI. 78 amp, 9:00 clock. Search for a 1985 Buick Rivera 5.0L. ~$55 with a $7 core.

They have a pigtail also for a couple $.

There are a bunch of threads and sites on how to wire it. I ran the brown wire that went to the regulator to the #1 connection. This is the exciter wire. I ran a ~16 gauge wire from the #2 connection to the junction on the passenger's fender. This is the voltage reference wire. I ran a 8 gauge wire from the lug to the junction on the passenger's fender. This is the main power feed wire.

Re: Alternator

You could also run and alternator with a built-in regulator the main thing is what motor you have you also need to change your mounting brackets accordingly

The top bolt on the alternator I listed is 10mm x 1.5. I did have to grind the bracket to make to large enough for the bolt.

I found this thread with images of my install

Another thing to note. There are kits available to do the conversion so you do not have to manually wire it. Plug and play, easily reversible. I decided to wire it manually to give cleaner wiring.
