1971 Jimmy for sale

I posted this about a month ago but decided I couldn't part with the truck. Now I am in need of money so I have to sell. It is a 1971 GMC Jimmy. All parts below have been purchased in the previous year. The price is $2500 firm. The truck runs very strong.

Holly 670 Truck Avenger Carburetor
New Headman Headers
New Battery
New Starter
New One Wire Alternator
New Water Pump
New Fuel Pump and filter
New Plugs and wires
New Magnaflow Mufflers
New Heater Core
New HEI Distributor
S&W 10PT cage~~Not installed but included
6” Superlift Suspension Kit
35x10.5x15 Mud tires
1 spare 36x10.5x15 TSL
6” Superlift Suspension Kit
New front Brake Calipers and pads
Warn Front Bumper
Warn Hubs
New Turn Signal Switch
New Hi/Lo light switch
New Black Dash pad
Two 5 ½ inch round Hella lights

As far as the condition of the truck it does runs strong. It is not a daily driver for me, I mainly use it for around my farm and around town. It has a 350, TH350, NP205, Dana 44 front and 12 bolt rear. It has rust in the normal places. I have replaced the left outside rocker panel. There were some small places throughout the inside where I cut out the rust and either riveted a piece of sheet metal down or welded in some sheet metal.. This is not a professional job. I was planning on using herculiner to coat the entire inside of the truck so I wasn’t too worried about it. As far as the outside of the truck, the tip in front of the right front fender is rusted out. This must be common because several companies sell a weld in replacement just for that. There rest of the truck is not too bad, but will take some work before new paint.

I have some pictures here www.julian3.com

Realize that most of the pictures were taken while I was working on the truck. On the 1st page it takes about some wiring issues, but I have fixed all of them.

Lots of questions:
Clear Title? How's the engine, any smoke? Original engine, or rebuilt? Solid frame? Glass good? Windshield frame good? Rocker boxes ok? Single or double wall top? Any cracks in the top? Currently licensed?

If it were to be driven or towed 800miles, would there be anything that would have to be replaced first?

Definately a bomb of questions, feel free to PM me the answers.

Ron

Do you have the seats for it, noticed that they weren't in some of the pics.

I have the title but never put it in my name. In Georgia if the truck is so old all you need is a bill of sale. The engine runs great. It smokes a little when it starts up but goes away. At some point the engine was built, it has an elelbrock intake and sound like a cam. It sounds like a lifter may be ticking but has done it since I bought over 2 years ago. Frame has no rust. Windshield is cracked. Windshied frame has a little rust....nothing too bad. Rocker boxes are gone. I am almost 100% sure it is a single wall top. I beleive there is one small crack in the top. The hatch had several cracks so I have been working on refiberglassing it. I have just been driving it around on my farm so it is not licensed. It runs and drives fine....I would not drive it 800 miles though. Yes I have all the seats. The rear bench seat is pretty bad.
