Fuel Cell Guy

I never liked the look or function of the poly tank under the bed and after seeing the tank VT got for his blazer I ordered one of my own.

It was worth the wait. The fit was great, easy to install and doesn't hang down.

Mark has a great product. I highly recommend it.

I've never heard anything but good feedback on his product. Do you have any pics of it installed?

I'm not sure that he has a website at the present time. Probably your best bet is to PM him.

Mark built a tank for my flatbed and I have nothing but compliments to say about him. Mark took pics as he built my tank and sent them to me and he can make a tank however you want it.

Outstanding service and product, you can't beat that.

Here's a link to an album showing the tank he built for me.

Here's a pic of the finished product just so you an see what he can do.

He made one for me. Beautiful workmanship, and it fit like a glove. A real craftsman.

Man, I think I watched him build your tank

Guys, Mark is a stand up guy & is someone that you can definitely expect great work from ;)

I don't know if he is building custom tanks much anymore, as last time I talked to him he was gearing up for a common one size fits most kinda tank... but this is just what I think, not what I know

He does an awesome job & his tanks are very nice, I go watch him build tanks on occasion & it's always cool to watch :metal:

The only down side is that building tanks is his side job & his main job keeps him VERY busy... but he gets the tanks built & shipped as fast as he can

Great guy & I'm glad to know him

I waited a little over a month for my tank, but it was worth it. I'll post some pictures when I get home and get on my own computer.

Mark is still building tanks. I just contracted him to build me one for my suburban. I had seen nothing but good feedback on fuelcellguy, which helped my with my decision. Looks like it will take 3 to 5 weeks to get my tank, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

I wholeheartedly agree with all the compliments posted so far!

I approached Mark with a custom built version for my off road blazer, one that afforded me an extra 4" of ground clearance under neath the stock fuel tank location.

Anybody who wheels will know that it's a HUGE amount of "good" type of clearance.

Mark worked with me and the dimension's I requested, provided a sketch before starting and pics as thing's progressed.

Re: Fuel Cell Guy

Wow lost track of this one. Reason I was curious about the wait was I paid for mine in May 07 and it showed up around the time I made that post.

Re: Fuel Cell Guy

TravisH,
In all fairness to me,
1. I had to locate a special size filler tube for you at your request.
2. I didn't ship until the shipping was paid for.
3. The tank was shipped to Canada (much longer ship time).
4. You paid for the tank on July 17, 2007.
5. You paid the shipping on October 25, 2007.
I didn't take any longer on your tank than on anyone elses. The increased time line was due to the circumstances above. Please state ALL the facts before posting. I will be the first to admit, I do get busy from time to time and get a little behind but I always finish the jobs and always ship them when all the funds are collected.

To everyone else, thanks for the kind compliments and comments. I do appreciate them. Thanks, Mark

Re: Fuel Cell Guy

Hi Mark
I wasn't trying to put you in a bad light and I hope no one took it that way. The tank looks great and I'm definately happy with it. My mistake on the payment time, I thought it was earlier

So long as we're getting all the facts out lets add to the list to maybe give some context:

Aug 25 - I got an email saying that the filler tube had come in and tank would be ready to ship soon
Oct 24 - I send you an email asking about the status
Oct 25 - I get an email saying the tanks been done and you were waiting on a reply for shipping, an email got lost in cyber space apparently. I pay once I get this email
Nov 28 - I email you again to see whats happening
Nov 30 - You reply that it was sent out "about a week and a half ago". By my math that would be approx Nov 21, more than 3 weeks after shipping was paid
Dec 18 - I receive tank

Again, I'm not knocking you personally but we had a less than ideal transaction. Looking back I suppose my main gripes were that I had to get ahold of you to pay shipping and the time after I paid it wasn't sent.

Having said that it speaks to your character the way you responded to my first post, which reading now I can see where you might be apprehensive. I'm glad this was discussed, before I wouldn't have considered buying another tank from you. Hopefully the next one goes better :)

Re: Fuel Cell Guy

No hard feelings here, I will do what I can to keep everyone happy. I am easy to get along with. I do sincerely apologize for any misunderstandings during this transaction. I guess I did learn a lesson about shipping to other countries (especially using USPS). All is good here, got to go, I have some shipping to do. Later, Mark

FuelCellGuy - Mark, the tank you did for me was perfect! Sorry I didn't send any install pics like I indicated I would.
SactoJim - my tank was very similar to yours. However, I really was trying for 25 gallons, and rather notch the tank similar to yours on the top, I trimmed-up the cross member on the bed. The rear step on the tank is to clear the sway bar.

You meant tow bar,right?:D...Nice tank(s).

Re: Fuel Cell Guy

No, actually sway bar. I'll post a couple of picks of the bar installation tonight.
