Heater Fan Switch

2 Attachment(s)
I am trying to get the interior sorted on my 1970 GMC stepside and have a question regarding the heater switch. My truck had a three position switch mounted with two unoriginal screws in the hole to the right of the controls, I believe it should have a cigarette lighter there. From my searches here I can not figure out where the switch was originally mounted. Does anyone know or have a picture of a dash with the correct setup. Thanks and sorry for the stock photos as I have everything apart and in boxes.

I'm not sure what you are asking here. The heater control uses the 2 holes in the bottom mount to mount to the dash.
This is my 71 with AC controller but it mounts the same way as yours. Your fan switch goes on the back side and the lever operates it.

The switch mounts on the right side of the heater control unit and the arm attaches to the center slide arm.. There should be two holes in the pot metal on the frame of the unit and a hole in the center arm.

Thanks Guys! That make sense. Andy4639 I should have stated that my truck is non-ac so it doesn't have the switch on the left side of the controls. Someone broke the middle lever and rigged a flat piece of metal in it's place. I guess that is why they screwed the lo med high switch in the lighter hole. I will have to buy a kit with the new levers and put it back to original. Thanks Again!

No problem. The repair kit I bought had steel arms and worked out really good.....

I understood it was non AC. That's why I was stating it hooks to the lever behind the controller.:chevy:

I have a local supplier I buy my stuff from. I'm sure he got it from Here..... He gets 90% of his parts from Classic.

I spent 20 minutes googling for a picture like yours. Thanks for posting. I'll save these for the next time.:chevy:
