Made some progress this morning on building the engine cross member. Still have a lot left to do but it's a start.

The cross member will be able to be removed with the engine mounts able to stay in the frame that way if you ever need to remove the oil pan you can do so without removing the engine.

Great work there Ryan!

Im really surprised at how much room you have between the diff and oil pan because everyone else that talks about doing this swap says that you HAVE TO have at least 4" of lift.

This truck has technically 4" of lift due to the 4"x4" square tubing inbetween the frame and front spring mounts. It may equal out to 2 1/2-3" with stock shackle bars though. It was pretty tight and took a while to get the engine right where I wanted it.

I know I probably over looked it, but what style motor mount is the one bolted to the block on the passenger side?

Ex, I know that's a 94-02 style mount on the drivers side because its the same kind on my 97 Dodge CTD.

Driver side is 2nd gen 12v and passenger side is 24V if I remember right.

I put it up for sale but no one has been serious. I'm sourcing a different front clip and I might get the truck put together in August. We'll have to see.

If I brought it to you, I'd be losing the ability to store stuff in the cab of it. Ha Ha!

Thanks. I more than likely will. I've had some interest and one good offer, but I couldn't swing ther dough to complete his end of the trade.

I have a triple billet Goerend converter I need to get restalled, so I'll just need about $1200 to buy most of the parts to rebuild the trans. Then drive shafts and so on. This week I'm going to go get a 73-79 front clip for it. I need more hours in a day.

I won't mind extra parts laying around. just bring all it's parts and I'll finish it for you and maybe drive it for a couple months to make sure it works. :metal:

We don't have inspections so no one will know! Your half way done with the motor swap. My project is slow cause I've been sending my money to some guy in Iowa. This way I wouldn't have to send the money to you, I just put it into your truck for you.

This weekend I picked up a 73-79 front clip for this truck. I'm going to gather trans parts for it and I'm sending my torque converter in to get restalled. I'd like to get this truck drivable before Septmeber. Oh boy.
