Very solid (including the frame), just a bit of rot under cab. Wife drove it, said it drives great, she drove it home from where the transporter delivered it (about 5 miles). I have not yet driven it, I wanted to wait to drive it when I had more time. At this point it will take some adjustment have something like this, I am used to having shiney stuff  This will be a fun truck, I can tell you that!

I have truck envy.

That is all sorts of awesome.

Thank you! As far as leaving it alone, I am thinking the samething. I thought about doing the hard buff and wax trick to "clean" it up, do not think I will though. I love that rear bumper also, fits it well IMO. Looks like an aftermarket.

Thanks! I am really digging it. After watching/following it on FB for the last year (and waiting for a "weak" moment on the part of the PO ), hard to believe it is now in my garage.

Your truck most likely left the factory without a bumper. Bumpers like this were installed on new trucks after arriving at the dealer. Many West coast region bumpers are this style with the long side extensions. Just FYI.

Just picked this up for one of my daughters. Long story short, she got her full college scholarship and I kept my promise. First daughter got a Jeep Wrangler. Third daughter hasn't decided what she wants yet. She's driving the Z24 Cavalier they have shared until she finishes High School.

Indeed, that IS nice! A better looking patina finish would be hard to find. Great color too.
Not that your eventual build won't be stellar, but let's here the story on the truck as you found it. Love it!

Thanks! It is a static drop, 5"/7". Front has cut coils, rear has 2" lowering blocks, lowering coil springs along with a "C" notch.

Here's my '66. It's not the original paint, just a poorly done, faded 20 year old backyard repaint. It is the original color though (510 Turquoise). The interior was painted to match at the same time, and it's not faded at all, but It faded to chalk evenly all over on the outside.
