DO NOT OPEN- Air Ride Technologies inside

I was cruising the forum pages as I usually do every evening, when I ran across something that caught my eye. It was a recent post by Tony from Air Ride Technologies titled Air Ride Tech-Company catalog-Ad contest.

This sounded interesting, so I clicked the link and read "Ever wanted to see your truck in a national ad campaign or in a company catalog?" My normal inability to focus was brought to attention as I read the next few lines.
"We are having a little contest over here. If you are running some of our stuff on your truck and you want to send me an e-mail with some pictures of the truck along with a description of the parts and the build... you might just win."

Well alrighty then, this was my kind of contest. All I had to do was submit a few pictures of my 77 Cheyenne and I just might get in a catalog. It sounds as if the winner might pick up some Air Ride swag to boot. I'm in!.......

Can't wait to see the install getting underway. Do you have a planned finish date?

I know it will be first class all the way. Congrats!!

It will be a few weeks before we can start. The stars don't line up till the end of June, but I wanted to get the teaser out here.

Re: DO NOT OPEN- Air Ride Technologies inside

As with all projects, this one is behind schedule. I had several "life experiences" get in the way. I had to get the exhaust back together and the truck fired up after a two year hiatius. Last weekend I "finally" accomplished that goal. Now I have to deliver the truck to my buddies shop in Dallas to complete the next segment of the project.

The latest plan is to deliver the project to Roger and Keith on July 25/26. Once delivered I will update our timeline.

Proof that I am making progress-

Yes, sad but true. I have a daughter that is growing up quickly. I spent the last few seasons traveling with her while she played Club Volleyball all over the country.

Now she is done with that part of her life and moving on to other interests. It's time for Dad to enjoy his toys once again.

Phase two of this project got underway this weekend. I delivered my truck to my buddy Rogers shop outside of Rockwall, Texas. I should have progress reports by next weekend.

In the meantime, heres a few pics to satisfy those that have to ask.

Re: DO NOT OPEN- Air Ride Technologies inside

Ken, do you expect the new pieces to drop the truck lower in the end? For instance, when you look at your pic in post #21, do you expect it to sit lower? I'm guessing due to the tubular a-arms and the new rear suspension yes, but I wasn't sure how much.

Good luck with the build, this is going to be one amazing truck, not that it isn't currently. :D

Re: DO NOT OPEN- Air Ride Technologies inside

Nate- The limiting factor will be the height of the tire. I had Roger design the current set up so it would roll when aired out.

He built stands for the bump stops to allow this requested feature. It probably could have been 1+" lower if I had not wanted it to roll.

Even with the tubular A-arms ability to travel upward more, we will still be dealing with the same limits. Unless I go with a shorter tire, I don't see it getting too much lower.
