Carter YF question

Hello all,

I am looking for some guidence for a new carb.

My stock Rochester B in my l6 250 1966 is leaking and i want to replace it with something that's a direct swap with no altering. Rather not deal with rebuilding or tinkering.

seems like the Carter YF is a good option, and I think I found one at a very reasonable price that looks very clean.

My question is the model of the carb is 4371 per http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/Car..._Chevrolet.htm
it states that its a 250 engine original equipment (truck) manual trans CALIF smog 1967.. does the smog have any difference vs a non smog..? will i have to alter something?

thank you for all the help

Mike has replacement carbs.

Isn’t it a bit of a contradiction to say you don’t want to deal with rebuilding or tinkering yet you’re looking at a used carb to use.

Where is your model b leaking?

Re: Carter YF question

I just got an email from mike that the carb is back in stock this morning. And will go this route. I will take some pictures today of the areas it’s leaking at.
