T.V. Cable Leak
 
Hey guys hows it going, im new to this forum and well im going to make this short because i have MADDDD homework to do before school tomo and i also need to sleep...

so anyways, i have a 700r, and my transmission is leaking from were the TV Cable goes into the tranny... would it be safe to seal it with hi temp silicone?
what do u guys think... thanks -mike

Welcome to the 67-72 truck board from West Michigan!

You should be able to get the right seal for the cable end. The silicone might work ok but getting the area clean enough might be a problem.

Jim is right. Get the right o ring and you can change it in about 10 minutes.

I have found that the G.M. seals are the best, i put an aftermarket seal on mine when i built it and it leaked instantly

ahh thanks guys, i was thinking about mickey mousing it and just sealing with rtv silicone but i minus well do it right...
