1937 Chevrolet Sedan
Back in 1988 my dad bought a 1937 Chevy that would one day be mine. He worked for the phone company and saw it while climbing a pole one day. He went over to ask about it and ended up buying it. Its tags died in 84 and hadn't been driven for a little while because the owner hit a pothole which knocked a headlight trim ring and lens out and loosened a kingpin according to the owner. here is my sister and I with the car in 1988...
http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps8fxpvnkv.jpg The car was put in a garage and stored until about 5 years ago when it was moved from one garage to another and then around thanksgiving I finally brought the car home. The car is mostly rust free but mice have had a field day with the interior and wiring. http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/w...pss4v4hwhg.jpg http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/w...pswyzndhos.jpg http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/w...psbutw5wcu.jpg http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/w...pslrkqgffu.jpg http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/w...psxyf2aqwo.jpg |
Re: 1937 Chevrolet Sedan
Fast forward to this past weekend I finally started work on the car. I removed the interior and mouse turds/skeletons/nests/etc from the car. It was a nasty job but a good starting place. Up next will be the running boards, and front clip to remove the motor and trans.

Really solid Chevy! What are your plans?

Re: 1937 Chevrolet Sedan
Plan is to drive it. Lol.
I have a 350/th350 combo and 9 inch for it. I plan on using the stock springs and front axle and upgrading front brakes to disk. New wiring and not sure on interior yet. I just want it driveable then i can tweak from there. I would love to use a hot rodded 292 or a big block or even a tunnel rammed ls and a stick and i love ac so those are some big plans for eventually. Maybe lower it or gasser style? Mild chop? All that is a maybe or hopefully one day |
